💜 In-character interactions on this blog are limited to mutuals ONLY. I don't believe in follow-for-follows; if I'm following you, it means I've read through your rules and would like to interact with you. I will not follow back if there are no readily accessible rules on your blog or if I can't see our muses interacting.💜 The mun of this blog is 25+, a full-time student, and a full-time employee. My activity is limited and often sporadic. I am not an ideal roleplay partner if you're looking for consistently-fast responses or someone who replies to things in order. I will readily admit I go where the muse takes me, tend to favor interactions with my close friends/affiliates, and am prone to hyperfixating on certain muses & threads.💜 Conversely, though, this makes me a very LAIDBACK roleplay partner. Meaning there's never any rush to reply on my end - I won't pressure you, and I also understand that not every thread started is going to be a vibe. Dropped threads don't hurt my feelings. If you're not enjoying something we're working on (or just not in the headspace for it at that moment) and want to start something else, go for it.💜 The mun of this blog has no interest in drama, be it of the rpc in general or fandom-specific. I've made it nearly 30 years without getting pulled into any fandom drama and I intend to keep it that way, so if I see something that looks like drama, I'm just going to block it on sight.💜 Mun is also incredibly shy and fairly new to RP in general (brand new to RPing in the Demon Slayer fandom, even.) Please keep that in mind and be patient with me while I'm working to find my voice for these muses!💜 My icon usage is very inconsistent as I often reply from mobile.💜 I don't do exclusives. Everyone's portrayal is different and I don't wanna deprive myself of an awesome RP opportunity like that. 💜 This is an independent, private, semi-selective roleplay blog ft. my portrayals of the canon characters Kanae Kocho, Shinobu Kocho, Kanao Tsuyuri, and Aoi Kanzaki. I don't own these wonderful women or any of the other characters that may be mentioned in my posts. My portrayals are based on a mix of the anime, the manga in its entirety*, the accompanying novels, and my own headcanons.This blog is NOT spoiler free and they probably won't be tagged.

💜 NSFW content may be present on this blog. Mun is 25+, a fan of angst and dark themes in general, and does engage in mature / spicy threads on her main multifandom/multimuse. Triggers will be tagged appropriately (i.e. tw: gore) and any smut will be hidden beneath a banner and a readmore. As most of my KNY muses are UNDERAGE, I don't see much of this happening here, but it's worth the disclaimer since Shinobu is 18, and Kanae may be depicted as 18+ in canon-divergent AUs. (No, I will not write aged-up threads for smut.)Minors MAY interact, but I will not engage in any mature content with anyone under the age of 18.Sidenote: not all ships have to be romantic. I'm admittedly a sucker for a good toxic ship as well.💜 On that note, some notes about SHIPPING. I'm not here just to ship, but I will readily admit I am shipping trash - ships do need to be discussed in advance, however, and will be chemistry based. I can't guarantee they'll all happen, but I'm pretty open-minded as long as the muses in question are 18+ (in my case, Shinobu is the only muse consistently depicted as 18+, as she is in the anime/manga. Kanae canonically died at 17 years old, Aoi is 17, and Kanao is 16 - fluffy ships are fine, but no spicy stuff for the kiddos - this should go without saying.)💜 My stance on GODMODDING is more laid-back than most, especially in fighting scenes as I'm awful at writing those. I'm open to little things like assuming my muse is following along behind yours, etc. if it keeps the thread from stalling / moves the story forward. personality:

Although she appears calm, graceful, and pleasant on the surface, Shinobu is a bit of an airhead and quietly represses years of hurt and anger toward the demons who killed her family and previous tsuguko. She is at times flirty, mischievous, and good at reading people. A skilled caretaker and physician.

biography:

When she and her sister were little girls, their parents were slain in front of them by demons. Afterwards, the girls took a vow to sae others from the heartbreak and hardships they had endured, approaching the Demon Slayer that had saved them that night (Gyomei Himejima) in the hopes of becoming Demon Slayers themselves. Initially, given his own disdain of children and his hope for the girls to live happier lives, he tried to dissuade them, but the girls persisted and eventually proved themselves enough for Himejima to introduce them to trainers. They excelled at their training and passed the Final Selection.Following her sister's death, Shinobu became the head of the Butterfly Mansion and the Insect Hashira. She serves as a physician, a trainer, and moral support to many of her fellow Hashira & Demon Slayers.

personality:

Finding herself Shinobu's sole caretaker after the death of their parents, Kanae overcame her grief and anger and retained a calm, kind, and compassionate personality. she is empathetic and seeks to preserve the happiness of all those around her, to the point of sympathizing with demons - including the one that eventually took her life.

biography:

Following the murde rof hers and Shinobu's parents at the hands of a demon, Kanae and Shinobu made a pact to become Demon Slayers and prevent others from feeling the heartbreak and hardships they had endured. After their parents' funerals, the girls sought out Gyomei Himejima, the Demon Slayer who had saved them the night the demon attacked, and begged him to make them into Demon Slayers. Despite his reservations, the girls persisted, and Himejima eventually sent them on their way to respective trainers. Both girls survived their training and went on to pass Final Selection.Kanae later went on to become the Flower Hashira and eventually lost her life at the hands of Uppermoon Demon #2, Douma. On her deathbed she implored Shinobu to keep wearing the smile she loved so much, and to try and find a way to save/befriend the demons.

Kanao is serene, reserved, and doesn't talk a lot, though this is initially as a result of her traumatic upbringing that caused her to stop feeling emotion & stop making decisions for herself. she's getting better, but she's still a very calm and polite person.

biography:

Kanao grew up one of many children in a poor and abusive household. She and her siblings were brutally beaten for doing anything that displeased their parents, including crying or making noises of pain. Several of her siblings are implied to have died as a result of their beatings. Kanao remembers feeling sad, miserable, lonely, and hungry, but recalls that something inside of her snapped one day, and she no longer felt any emotions at all - to the point she wasn't even sad when her parents sold her into slavery.She was being transported - bound, dirty, and flea-ridden - when Kanae and Shinobu crossed paths with her and decided to buy her from her handler. They took her back to the Butterfly Mansion, where Shinobu was distressed to find the girl couldn't make any decisions for herself, including the decision to eat when she was starving. To help with this, Kanae gave the girl a coin to flip whenever she needed to make a decision.Throughout the events of the series, Kanao learns to open up more and listen to her heart instead of relying on the coin to make all of her decisions. The coin is still her favorite material possession.

Most of the time, Aoi is stern, opinionated, bossy, and not afraid to speak her mind. However, she exhibits softer moments, such as when she offers Inosuke his own plate so he can stop stealing food from the kitchen.

biography:

Aoi was taken in by the Butterfly Masion after her family were killed by demons. She was briefly trained in Water Breathing to the point of being able to pass Final Selection, but claims that this was purely by chance. As such, she serves as a helper at the Butterfly Mansion, tending to wounded and guest Slayers and performing basic household functions instead of taking to the frontlines.She is skilled enough to assist in rehabilitation exercises, initially besting Tanjiro and Inosuke in their speed/reflex activities, and exhibits a proficient knowledge of medical practices.
